Risk Assessment
Risk assessment is the process of identifying, analyzing and prioritizing the risks that an organization faces. This allows an organization to allocate their limited risk management resources to those risks that most affect their bottom line.
In order to illustrate this concept, below is a sample risk matrix and risk map for a university, as well as one for a start-up life sciences company. Both are based on actual SRM Consulting projects. The process used to identify, analyze and prioritize the risks of both of these organizations can be used for any type of company, business or organization.
